Design Trends: Report from the Road – Las Vegas Market Part 2
Part 2! After my last post chronicling our Vegas-sized fun, I bet you thought we didn’t get any work done. Well, the proof is below. New designers, importers, looks, and lines at Las Vegas Market inspired us and our Fall 2014 season will be be our most progressive yet! From mid-century modern to boho chic, to classic styles and even a country-farm decor, our Fall 2014 line will have something for everyone. Below are a few of our favorite looks.
I love how the book spines are turned in to make a monochromatic look. The flowers add the perfect pop of color. We have those sheepskin pillows, y’all! I have them on my couch and can vouch for their coziness.
Instead of cluttering up bookcases with chotskies, pile in old glass bottles. Green bottles are used here in varying shades. I love how this look blurs the lines between furniture, art & decor. They make a bold, inexpensive statement.
Peta would not approve of this design. These authentic bovine skulls are meticulously hand-carved with different designs. They add the perfect bit of texture to the metal, industrial light fixture and reclaimed teak table.
Good morning, Angels! Charlie would approve of this look. We saw so many looks that seemed to have one foot in 2014 and one foot in 1975. To Charlie!
Mmmmm. Emerald green and gold. I love the mixture of mid-century modern elements with Chinese designs and bamboo textures. The glass top, atom coffee table & gold drum ottoman look like they should always be kept together, like a salt and pepper shaker. The stark black wall cozies up the hard lines, sleek textures, and colors.
This space is serene with some bling! A frosted glass, beaded chandelier adds the right texture and contrast to the glass top, gold geometric table and lucite base, sheepskin stool. The ivory silk couch anchors the varying textures and is crowned by the perfect piece of art to round off this luxe, comfortable space.
Here, we see the Americana look graduate with more sophisticated style by using whimsical wall paper, lush pillows and upholstery, & an antique, hand knotted rug. I love the old globe set in to the coffee table and the antique toy trucks on the simple book shelves. This would be a great look for a stylish family’s den.
Everything seen above is either reclaimed, recycled, or Made in the USA. The simplicity is accomplished by major statement pieces like the pool ball wall art and the glass-dome, collage light fixture. The horse is a genuine antique from India and the pillows are made from recycled Indian saris. The sofa is 100% USA made and FSC Certified wood & Organic fabrics and feathers. We are proud to offer line line soon!
We drew great inspiration from this piece, and any of you reader that spend time around a flea market will, too! This ottoman is made from an old metal milk crate that has an antique sari top. This would be a perfect weekend DIY project.
Vegas gave us clarity to see the future of our fall line and our style grew new dimensions. We can’t wait for you all to enjoy them and hear what you think in the upcoming months.
